Sassy Senior Moments

We often are on the cutting edge of new ideas and celebrations. On April 17 we participated in the Poem in Your Pocket Day. I found a short poem, put it in my pocket, then read it to the kitchen crew, the quilters, walked over to the Record office and read it to Jean Stuchlik, then came back to a request for a poem from Theresa Graham. Then Madonna Schafers found a quilt poem, divided it up for the quilters, and had a mini poetry reading at noon. Plan for Poem in Your Pocket Day for next year.
We are starting Monday movie matinee after lunch. Charles Montgomery had selected a movie for April 21. Come relax with us on Mondays right after lunch.
I was gone April 18 to take part in a retirement seminar in Wichita. My session was supposed to be the lighthearted side to retiring, keeping busy, and not being bored. I invited everyone to move to Marion and they would be kept busy.
Ron and Connie Shipman entertained us April 23 after lunch. Ron plays the guitar, Connie plays the violin, and they both sing country and gospel. We all felt like we were witnessing the debut performance of musical stars.
Come join us May 7 for lunch. There will be a program.
