Sassy Senior Moments

We are the pleased recipients of cucumbers, tomatoes, cucumbers, okra, and cucumbers! Healthy eating should result in healthy senior citizens.
Judy Reno presented the program Aug. 9, telling about the beginning of the St. Luke Hospital Auxiliary Shoppe. Several women showed clothing items they bought at the shoppe. Iris Summers, Lenore Dieter, Thelma Blosser, Connie Fisher, Norine Holtsclaw, and Judy Reno were models. Others told of special items. Rowena Olsen had received an angel for her collection as a gift and Janet Bryant grabbed a Graceland mouse pad for her Elvis collection.
Lewis Holt, who is a high school student, helped deliver meals Aug. 10. He has been excellent help.
We had a letter from Charlie and Blanche Cowen of Stockton, Mo., They sent a copy of the newsletter from the senior center there.
A couple people from Lincoln, who are agency board members, did an assessment of the nutrition site Aug. 15. I believe they were impressed with our operation here.
Come join us Aug. 29 for lunch. Our speaker will be Teresa Huffman, Marion County Economic Development Director.
Don't forget that commodities will be distributed, beginning Thursday.
