Sassy Senior Moments

We have some prize-winning artwork on our easels right now! Norine Hoftsclaw won grand champion and reserve grand champion at the Marion County Fair for her paintings.

We learn new and handy things all the time. An item about KoolAid as a temporary hair color brightener suggests lemon-flavored for blondes and cherry for redheads. Brunettes should forget the KoolAid and use instant coffee. You mix the dry powder with your shampoo. No, you don't pour a pitcher full over your head.

Harold Conyers brought birthday treats Aug. 11.

Aug. 16 was Senior Center Day. Marilyn Geis, as president, conducted a short business meeting. Margaret Vinduska sat down at our seldom-played organ and gave us music of all types. We sang along on the ones we knew.

There is a group playing either pitch or pinochle on Tuesdays and Thursday after lunch. Come and be a part of their card playing. Come join us for lunch Aug. 30. Gene Vinduska will play his accordion after we eat.
