Sassy Seniors: Kellisons 55th anniversary celebrated years ago

April 27-May 3
We celebrated Richard and Joyce Kellison's 55th wedding anniversary.
This past week's write-up included some of our volunteer week events. The week came to a close with recognition of many volunteers, those who deliver meals-on-wheels in Marion and Florence, our daily dining room helpers, the women who are at the table to help sign-in people and make change, and Wilma Gilmer who changes table decorations monthly. We had a stack of empty boxes to give away so I told everyone to look on their placemats for a number to win one of those nice boxes as a door prize. They actually looked!
Marilyn Geis finished the day Friday by recognizing the Craft Corner volunteers. They quilt and embroider tea towels and do other specialized tasks.
Card bingo followed lunch with Larry Blosser calling the numbers.
The 2006 customer satisfaction cards are being filled out by those who receive delivered meals and those who dine here.
Jeremy Armstrong, St. Luke Hospital administrator brought an overview of what is available locally in the health care field.
Come join us on Senior Center Day. The program will be a video of the recent Marion High School Junior-Senior Prom activities.
