Sassy Seniors: Sensations cover 804 miles years ago

WALK Kansas 2006 is over. Our Senior Center Sensations had a total of 804 1/2 miles across Kansas and almost back again. Thelma Blosser won a pedometer in the weekly drawing of all the county teams. We hope to have all six of us at the center with our T-shirts to take a photograph. So far that hasn't happened.
Beulah Weigart brought birthday treats Friday for us.
Doris Ewert showed us the sunbonnet she was given at Eastmoor United Methodist mother/daughter banquet. With a bit of magical finger work the bonnet becomes an apron. Judy Christensen made these for all women 85 years old or older at the church.
Albert Steele brought his latest painting for our easel. He also has art on the wall at Zimmerman's Deli & Coffee Shop at Marion. Keith Holtsclaw also has art on our easels.
Our menu Tuesday was sweet and sour pork. We were told this was one of the late Marvin Hett's favorite menu items here.
Max Dunn and wife, Betty provided music Wednesday.
Commodities were bagged by the efficient crew of Elsie Reiswig, Charlie Cowan, Ivanlee Timm, Larry Blosser, Leonard Klassen, and Val Morgan.
Come join us May 24 when Nancy Pihl will give the program.
