Eileen Sieger and a group of Girl Scout representatives from the State of Kansas met Tuesday with Kansas Legislators. Senior Girl Scouts were assigned to "shadow a legislator" for the whole day to learn about the workings of the Capitol. Governor Sebelius, a long time supporter of the Girl Scouts, spoke to the group during lunch. Skip and Eileen drove to Wichita Saturday evening to help Maurine and John Pruitt celebrate their wedding anniversary. Additional guests were Phil and Renate Huttig and Shari Boehlke.

Faye and Jerry Makovec went to Baldwin City last weekend to watch grandson Brian play basketball on Saturday and granddaughter Chelsea play on Sunday.

Weekend visitors at the home of David and Shirley Bowers were Daniel and Kim Bowers, Amber, Bryce, and Breanna, and Doug and Janelle Paden, Matthew, Abigail, and Jonathan. Mary Beth and Greg Bowers, Rhonny and Luke joined them Saturday evening to celebrate January, February, and March birthdays. Honored guests were Mary Beth Bowers, Rhonny Bowers, Janelle and Jonathan Paden, and Daniel, Amber, and Breanna Bowers. The Bowers family attended the Collett reunion at Eastmoor Sunday hosted by Shirley and Mary Beth.

Mrs. Charles Goering and daughter visited Dorothy Hayen on Thursday. Dorothy recalls when Annora was a close neighbor of hers and they visited often. Max and Donna Hayen, Virginia Downing, and Marilyn Geis joined Dorothy and John Hayen for Saturday dinner at the Pizza Hut. The girls went home with Dorothy to help her get ready for Sunday.

Vicki Smolik, Katrina Griffin, and Kathy Swan took a side trip to Newton Saturday afternoon while the men were working on Becky and Tim Makovec's addition to their home.

Leonard and Rosalie Klassen went into Wichita Friday and Saturday to see Allegra play basketball. They saw her play Friday night, but she was ill Saturday so didn't get to play. Rosalie and Leonard attended the Tabor College play, "Twelve Angry Men," Wednesday night.
