Sculptures on display at Marion City Library
A collection of sculptures by Larry Hamler of McPherson is on display at Marion City Library.
The fired clay and bronze sculptures include an Indian head, a buffalo, and a Buddha.
One of the bronze sculptures, titled "Prairie Drifter," has been donated by Hamler as a fund-raiser for the Civilian Conservation Corps Kansas Statue Project. The statue will be erected at Marion County Park and Lake.
Tickets for a drawing are available at the library and from Dwight and Helen Beckham for a suggested donation of $10.
The 18-inch sculpture is valued at more than $1,500.
Hamler and his wife, Marilyn, own a home at Marion County Lake.
