Seifert elected mayor of Lost Springs

Dollye Novak, Connie Alvarez, and Leona Deines served April 1 on the election board. Steven Seifert was elected major of Lost Springs. Council members are Frank Wirtz, Glenn Heitfield, Joe Alvarez, Blaine Gehrke, and Angie Seifert.

Steve Katz drove to Lawrence and was a guest of his sister Barbie and B from Friday to Sunday evening.

Charles and Mary Loewen of Hillsboro visited Bob and Irma Reznicek Sunday night.

Adele Katz was very ill with bronchitis this past week. She is better at this writing and plans to go back to work at the Lutheran Nursing Home. Lori Smithhart of Hillsboro visited her sister on Saturday.

Alex Stuchlik drove to Newton Monday to visit Bill and Norma Urbanek.

Max and Estella Kohler, en route from Mesa, Ariz., to their home in Silver Spring, Md., visited his brother Gilbert Kohler and Glenda at Lincolnville Friday morning and were their dinner guests. They called on me after dinner. They had visited our brother, Emil Pospisil, in Wichita the day before.

Carol Makovec took dinner to Bob and Irma Reznicek Saturday noon. Irma hadn't felt good for several days. She said Monday morning that she was feeling better.

Frances Stuchlik was a Saturday dinner guest of Monty and Sarah Stuchlik. Frances said Father Dick is out of the hospital and back to his services.

Larry Rudolph was my Friday supper guest. He checked the electric fence he set up in my pasture on Tuesday.

Douglas Strecker of Hesston visited his classmate, Ronnie Carlson, in Lincolnville Saturday morning. He ate dinner with me, then went out to the wheat field and sewed some alfalfa seed. He stayed for a catfish supper.

Lowell T. Strecker of San Antonio, Texas, called me Sunday afternoon. He said it was hot and humid and the flowers, especially the Bluebonnets were beautiful. He received a promotion at the Borneo, Texas, post office. Four-year-old Cordell said, "Hi, Grandma." He wishes he was on the farm playing with the cats and watching the four little Black Angus calves.

Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu and Fred Utech attended the DSO

dinner and meeting in Salina Tuesday. Neil and Jolene Albrecht and Kallie of Salina also were there.

Junior Hanschu attend Wayne Colle's funeral Monday afternoon at Valley United Methodist Church in Marion.

Betty Stenzel visited Helen Chill in Marion Thursday. Betty's Sunday dinner guests were Gregory Stenzel, Nikki Stenzel, and Becky Jackson.
