Sign up now for astronaut training
Registrations now are being accepted for astronaut training for those 55 years of age and older.
Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center in Hutchinson offers the opportunity for older adults to pilot a space shuttle and F-16 jet simulators, build a lunar rover, and take a spin in a centrifuge.
The week-long camp sessions will be held Sept. 25-30 and Oct. 9-14.
The week will conclude with each team performing a simulated shuttle mission that includes liftoff, deploying a satellite, and returning to Earth.
