Silas Weidenbener
Silas P. Weidenbener, 90, died Nov. 20, 2003.
Born Jan. 5, 1913, at Marion, he was the son of Adam and Bessie (Lockhart) Weidenbener.
He was a retired U.S. Postal Service mail carrier.
Survivors include three sons, James Weidenbener of Newton, Milton Weidenbener of Belle Plaine, and Gerald Shirley of Missouri; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Sunday afternoon at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Newton.
