Smith, Higbee are wed Jan. 13 in Florida ceremony years ago
Jodi Michelle Smith and Zachary Dane Higbee, both of Gainesville, Fla., were married at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 13, 2006, at the Sweetwater Inn, Gainesville, Fla.
Parents of the couple are Jerry and Lois Smith of Marion and Mike and Benita Higbee of Guthrie, Okla.
Malcolm Gibson was the officiant at the double ring ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white strapless gown with a sheer overlay and scattered crystal beading. She carried a cascading orchid bouquet.
Cami Blew of Inman was the maid of honor. She carried pink lilies. Melissa Richardson of Wichita was the matron of honor and she carried pink tulips. Sarah Smith of Greeley, Colo., was the bridesmaid and she carried pink daisies.
The bride's niece, Peyton Smith of Greeley, Colo., and the groom's niece, Ruby Fried of Norman, Okla., were flower girls.
Colin Higbee of Oklahoma City, Okla., served as best man. Groomsmen were Martin Salamone of Gainesville, Fla., and Chad Caldwell of Enid, Okla.
Guests were seated by Fred Demarest of Gainesville, Fla., and Dustin Roberts of Norman, Okla.
Pam Warner of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Alicia Pynn of Gainesville, Fla., were guest book attendants.
A reception followed at the Sweetwater Inn.
The bride earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, and a master's degree from Wichita State University, Wichita. She is employed as a project manager for 352 Media Group.
Her husband is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. He is the assistant sports information director with the University of Florida Athletic Association.
Following a wedding trip to the Sandals Resort in Antigua, the couple lives in Gainesville, Fla.
