Sunday church service was brought by the Rev. Keith Allison of the Presbyterian church.
Dominoes and checkers were played Monday morning. In the afternoon several residents went to Marion Manor to play bingo.
Pretty up time was Tuesday. There are a lot of shiny fingernails. A popcorn party was held in the afternoon with flag trivia led by Khrista Branson.
Wednesday was prayer group with Dick Pracht. In the afternoon the Marion County Record was read to a large group. Refreshments were served. Jim and Carol Hett and Ellen Darrow brought musical entertainment that evening.
There was an hour of hymn singing Thursday led by David and Shirley Bowers and Madonna Schafers. Residents went out to eat lunch with Khrista. Later a van load went for a ride over the countryside. It is so beautiful and green and wild flowers were thick in the fields.
Friday was the usual cookie baking time. We ate hot cookies and drink coffee. The afternoon was spent with Pat Smith. Refreshments of fruit juice and homemade sweet bread were served.
Saturday was a leisure day. Some watched video movies, some read, some slept, and some enjoyed the outdoors.
There was a gracious lady who was mailing an old family Bible to her brother in another part of the country. The postal clerk asked if there was anything to break. She answered "Only the Ten Commandments."
