Checkers and dominoes were enjoyed Monday morning. Iva Unruh came in the afternoon. She talked about shoes. Iva said if the shoe fits, wear it.

Pretty up day was Tuesday. In the afternoon Magdalen Dvorak of Pilsen brought crafts. She helped us cut out colored paper firecrackers and stars for wall decorations.

Prayer group was Wednesday with Dick Pracht. Nancy Tharp came to sing.

A special birthday party was held for Kathy Hurst. Her family brought a beautifully decorated cake with six candles. We asked how old she was and she said 16 but not how many times. She gave no answer, so we guessed four.

Friday morning was our regular cookie baking time. We then drank coffee and ate hot cookies. In the afternoon we had a special time with Sue Gutsch. She always comes up with such fun things. This was entitled Summertime. She read some good poems and told what they did in younger years. She asked each resident what they did. We heard some very interesting stories and activities. It was a real fun time about summer.

Bingo was played with Pat Smith.

Saturday morning found everyone napping. Some went outside for awhile. Coffee was available for those who wanted it. The afternoon was spent watching video movies and eating snacks.
