Stanley Stout Jr.

Stanley D. "Pudge" Stout, Jr., 74, died Feb. 7, 2004, at Memorial Hospital, McPherson.

Born July 16, 1929, in Longford, he was the son of Stanley Thomas and Grace (Young) Stout Sr.

He attended school near Longford and Oakhill and graduated from Longford High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and was stationed in Japan.

On June 24, 1956, he married Lizetta M. Deines at Lincolnville.

He was a farmer and mechanic for farm implement dealers in Clay Center, Marysville, and McPherson. He later worked in the maintenance department for Memorial Hospital, McPherson.

He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, McPherson.

He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Stanley Douglas Stout; a brother, Eugene Stout; and a sister, Annabelle Stout.

Survivors include his wife, Lizetta Stout of McPherson; a daughter, Jennifer Martinson of McPherson; two sons, Brian Stout of Canton and Douglas Stout of McPherson; his mother, Grace Stout of Abilene; a brother; two sisters; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, McPherson, with Pastor Dale Dumperth officiating.

Burial was in McPherson Cemetery with full military honors.

A memorial fund has been established with the church.
