Suspect identified in Ampride theft case
Items were stolen from Ampride convenience store, 512 E. D Street, Hillsboro, and reported Thursday to Hillsboro Police Department. A suspect has been identified and charges are pending.
March 19: A semi truck fire was reported at Gorges Dairy Company, 108 S. Date Street, Hillsboro; the truck was unoccupied at the time and the cause was determined to be electrical. Assistance was provided with a fire alarm in the 500 block of South Adams Street. A domestic dispute regarding child custody was reported in the 200 block of South Main Street. Suspicious activity was checked in the 100 block of North Main Street. A 911 disconnect was checked in the 300 block of South Cedar Street. Activated business alarms were checked in the 600 block of North Ash Street and the 700 block of East D Street.
Monday: A trespass complaint was filed in the 300 block of South Birch Street. Activated business alarms were checked in the 600 block of North Ash Street and 500 block of East Grand Street. A noise complaint was reported in the 300 block of West D Street. A civil process was served.
Tuesday: Assistance was provided to Marion County Sheriff's Department regarding an investigation. Suspicious activity was checked in the 400 block of North Ash Street.
Wednesday: A motorist received assistance at D and Ash streets. Suspicious activity was checked at First and Jefferson streets. A domestic dispute in the 600 block of East A Street was determined to be a civil matter. The sheriff's department received assistance with an injury accident.
Thursday: SRS received assistance with an investigation. Two juveniles were issued citations for curfew violation.
Saturday: A 911 disconnect was checked in the 200 block of Willow Glen. Suspicious activity was checked in the 600 block of South Lincoln Street.
