Suspect interviewed in airport burglary cases
Hillsboro Police Department continues an investigation of burglaries at Hillsboro Municipal Airport.
Jan. 22: Assistance was provided to Kansas Highway Patrol trooper with a vehicle pursuit. A business was checked when an alarm was activated in Hillsboro Heights.
Monday: A drug awareness program was presented at Hillsboro Middle School. A suspect was interviewed for burglaries of four aircraft in May at Hillsboro Municipal Airport; charges are pending. A parent received assistance with a child. SRS received assistance in the 300 block of South Birch Street. Assistance was provided regarding a civil matter in the 400 block of West Grand Street. Response was given to a property dispute in the 300 block of North Ash Street. Assistance was provided to a fire marshal with an investigation. K-9 unit attended training in Junction City.
Tuesday: Assistance was provided with a missing juvenile. A civil standby was provided in the 300 block of North Main Street. A leak was located at the small water tower.
Wednesday: A dog complaint was filed in the 400 block of South Jefferson Street. A traffic complaint was made in the 400 block of East D Street.
Thursday: A dog complaint was made in the 200 block of Floral Street. A motorist received assistance in the 400 block of East D Street. Investigation assistance was given to SRS. A civil process was served for the city.
Friday: A DARE class was presented at HES. A dog complaint was made in the 400 block of North Ash Street. A gas skip was reported in the 500 block of East D Street. A protection from abuse violation was cited in the 100 block of Floral Street.
Saturday: A gas skip was reported in the 300 block of North Ash Street. Officers arrested and booked in Marion County Jail Derek Hoskinson, 22, Hillsboro, for DUI following a traffic stop. A report was made of a possible suicidal person in the 300 block of South Washington Street.
