Adeline Bernhardt went to Wichita Dec. 22, and joined Barney and Linda Bernhardt and Megan of Wichita and Carl and Kathy Hubbard of Wellington for supper out. She then went to Wellington to spend Saturday and Sunday with the Hubbards. On Sunday morning they all attended worship at Calvary Lutheran Church. In the afternoon Adeline returned to Wichita and joined the following for supper out: Barney and Linda Bernhardt and Megan, James Haynes, John and Deborah Haynes, Hailee and Heather, all of Wichita. After supper, all attended the children's Christmas Eve service at Trinity Lutheran Church, where Hailee and Heather took part in the program. Adeline, along with the rest of the family, was a guest for overnight, Christmas dinner, and a gift exchange. Later in the day, she joined the following at the home of Carl and Kathy Hubbard for supper and a gift exchange: Mitch and Jennifer Rusk, Kelsey and Chandler of Edmond, Okla., Dee Anna and Gabrielle Stout of Wichita, Donna Hubbard, and Clinton Hubbard and Andrea King of Wellington. On Tuesday, Carl, Kathy, and Adeline went to Wichita for supper out and a movie. Adeline returned home Wednesday afternoon.

Tampa is mourning the death of Gertrude Patton, who died Dec. 27. Funeral services were Friday morning at Saint Philip Catholic Church in Hope. Patton grew up in Tampa, and she and her husband Frank returned for their retirement. She then lived in Tampa until she entered the Long Term Care Unit at Hillsboro Community Medical Center several years ago. Her family has the sympathy of the community.

New Year's Day dinner and/or supper guests of Tom and Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki were Frank and Anna Mae Stika and Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu and Anna.

New Year's Day guests of Reuben and Lucille Kerbs were Glenn and Eloise Kerbs of Dodge City, Reuben and Cristy Kerbs of Wichita, Clayton and Leah Kerbs of Topeka, Tim and Marchelle Kerbs and April Kerbs of Salina, Molly Kerbs of Hays, Doug and Connie Thompson and Taylor of Abilene, Allison Phillips of Manhattan and Jeremy Sluder of Manhattan, Jesse and Ashton Smith of Lincolnville, and Russ and Julie Kerbs and Rustyn. The occasion was a belated Christmas celebration, and the group exchanged gifts.

Saturday evening supper guests of Gary and Carole Spohn were Steve Spohn and Sheri Kersh of Hope and Georgia Spohn. This was their family Christmas celebration.

Lynn and Peggy Kleiber and Nicholas, Andrea Kleiber, Dale Klenda, and Leona Kleiber enjoyed supper out in Lost Springs Friday evening.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki, and Lisa Hanschu, James and Anna spent from Wednesday to Friday in Branson, Mo., celebrating Nikki's birthday there on Friday. Highlights of their vacation included the Dixie Stampede, the Trail of Christmas Lights, and the view of the city from the tower.

Sunday supper and overnight guests of Reuben and Lucille Kerbs were Glenn and Eloise Kerbs of Dodge City and Clayton and Leah Kerbs of Topeka.

Diane Herron, Andrew, Peter, and Maria of Topeka visited Jerry and Jeanne Rziha Friday. Jeanne kept the children while Susie Rziha of Independence, Janie Aita of Chippewa Falls, Wis., Cecilia Rziha, and Julie Rziha enjoyed a sister's day out in Salina, They attended a party for Christine Isaacson in celebration of her passing her physical therapy board exams.

Adeline Bernhardt, Leona Kleiber, and Andrea Kleiber were among those attending the funeral of Gertrude Patton Friday morning in Hope. Afterward, Andrea was Leona's dinner guest.

Christmas dinner and supper guests of Frank and Anna Mae Stika were Tom and Lori Moldenhauer and Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu, James and Anna. Nikki Stenzel joined them in the evening for dessert.

Jesse and Ashton Smith and Russ and Julie Kerbs were Sunday dinner guests of Reuben and Lucille Kerbs.

Tillie Hein spent Christmas Day with family members at the home of Bill and Pamela Fillmore.

Christmas Day guests of Gary and Carole Spohn were Melvin Mohn of Lyons, Ryan Spohn of Manhattan, and Georgia Spohn.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Tom and Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki, and Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu, James and Anna attended the Christmas Eve service and program at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Herington. Lori, Nikki, and Anna were in the program. Afterward, all came to the Stika home for supper and opened their gifts.
