The Tampa Community Association will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the senior center.

Tillie Hein accompanied Kris Srajer, Grant and Cole Monday afternoon to Herington for a soccer game in which Grant played.

Easter dinner guests of Paul and Edna Backhus were Don and Ophelia Jacobson and Greg Jacobson of Hope, Ron and Jody Heath, Danielle and Tyler of Salina, Bev and Tom Reid of Marion, Michael and Jennifer Jay of Hillsboro, Brad and Kathy Backhus, Jason Backhus, Phyllis Mueller, and Rodney Mueller. Joining them for an Easter egg hunt in the afternoon were John and Wanda Lewis, Paul, Sarah, and Luke of Wichita. Brief morning visitors were Michael Mueller and John Harlow of Cheyenne, Wyo. Bev's birthday was celebrated.

Ashton Kerbs of Salina and Russ and Julie Kerbs and Rustyn visited after church Sunday with Reuben and Lucille Kerbs.

Easter dinner guests of Gary and Carole Spohn were Ryan and Claudette Spohn, Adam and Lauren of Manhattan, Steve Spohn of Hope, and Georgia Spohn. The family helped Lauren celebrate her first birthday.

Father Paul Oborny of McPherson, Dan and Kim Oborny, Ethan and Logan, Mike and Sharon Benda, and Jane Vajnar were Easter dinner guests of John and Kathy Oborny and Diane Steiner.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika and Tom and Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki were Easter dinner guests of Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu, James and Anna.

Lola and Jack Ware of White City and Art and Betty Mueller enjoyed Easter dinner in Abilene. They also were celebrating Lola's birthday and the Muellers' wedding anniversary.

Reuben and Lucille Kerbs were Easter dinner guests of Tim and Marchelle Kerbs of Salina. Molly Kerbs of Hays and April Kerbs of Emporia also were present.

Relatives spending Easter with Helen Schwartzman were John and Pat Schwartzman of Salina, Helen Jean McGonigle, Wayne and Marita Schwartzman and Emil Pospisil of Wichita, Larry Parsons of Mount Hope, and Tom Murphy. Additional evening visitors were Stephanie Classen of Marion, Martha Melcher, and Eleanor Murphy. Ellen also received Easter greetings by phone from a number of relatives.

Tillie Hein was an Easter dinner guest of Jim and Kris Srajer, Grant and Cole.

Weekend guests of Jerry and Jeanne Rziha and Julie were Wayne and Shannon Rziha of Tulsa, Okla., Janie Rziha and John and Jeanne Rziha, Michael, Christopher, Joseph, and Timothy of Atchison, Jim and Diane Herron, Andrew and Peter of Wichita, David Rziha of Lawrence, and Cecilia Rziha of Hays. Additional Easter guests were Gertrude Rziha and Bob and Nancy Rziha of Great Bend and Bonnie Haslouer of Abilene. Stacy Barton and Gordon Schroeder of Hays were Sunday evening visitors.

Adeline Bernhardt spent from Friday to Monday with Carl and Kathy Hubbard and Clint of Wellington. All attended Good Friday and Easter services at Calvary Lutheran Church. Donna Hubbard of Wellington was an additional Easter dinner guest. Carl, Kathy, and Adeline went shopping Saturday in Wichita.

Michael Mueller and John Harlow of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Ron and Jody Heath, Danielle and Tyler of Salina were weekend guests of Phyllis Mueller and Rodney Mueller.

Dean and Becky Roth, Danielle, Allison, and Melody of Augusta spent the weekend with her mother, Leona Kleiber. All were Easter dinner guests of Terry and Cindy Vinduska. Other guests were Ron and Tammi Vinduska and Kristi of Topeka, Daniel and Melissa Stuchlik of Wichita, Jill Vinduska and Staci Vinduska of Manhattan, Ruby Vinduska, and Lynn and Peggy Kleiber, Amanda, Andrea, and Nicholas. An egg hunt was enjoyed in the afternoon.

Forty-four children participated in the community Easter egg hunt Saturday afternoon in the park. We were honored with an appearance by the Easter bunny. In a drawing, seven children received Easter baskets. Addie Berens got the prize for the two-and-under age group. One boy and one girl in each of the older groups received the prizes — Kaylee Hall and Cole Srajer for the three- and four-year-olds, Mary Leihy and Kyle Riffel in the five-to-seven age group, and Heidi Jirak and Timothy Stuchlik for the eight-to-10 group. The annual event is orchestrated by Melissa Stuchlik and Iona Dietrich with some assistance from Prairie Pals and others in the community.

Martha Melcher and Tillie Hein went to Clay Center Saturday to attend an auction and visit friends.

Reuben and Lucille Kerbs spent Friday in Topeka at the home of Don and Cecile Penney and Don's sister. Others present were Virgil and Barb Gooding of El Dorado, Helen Benson of Raytown, Mo., Elmer and Joyce Gooding of Tempe, Ariz., Al and Lila Gooding and Tammi Pierce of Topeka. Kevin Weyand stopped by briefly.

Eleanor Herbel, Mildred Hamm and Jane Vajnar attended the meeting Thursday evening of King's Daughters at Durham Baptist Church. Geraldine Frick presented a mission study. The White Cross committee, consisting of Arlene Pankratz, Frances Unruh, Betty Meier, and Mary Helen Becker, gave an informative lesson about missions in Cameroon and dedicated the White Cross sewing to be sent there. Refreshments were served by the hostesses, Muriel Christiansen and Doris David.

Mary Christiansen, Dee Duggan, and Adeline Bernhardt joined other members of the Red Hat Society and numerous other women Thursday for the Easter bonnet luncheon at Herington. Some of the group played pitch after lunch.

Georgia Spohn attended the Learning in Retirement program Thursday morning at Tabor College in Hillsboro. The program consisted of a telling of the Easter story and music of the season. Afterward, Georgia joined Lenora Graham of Florence, Ellen Darrow, and Joyce Hett of Marion for dinner out.

Art and Betty Mueller attended funeral services Wednesday for Art's cousin, Edna Domke, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Marion.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika visited Bertha Schneider Thursday evening at the nursing home in Herington, then attended a church service in Hope were their daughter, Lisa Hanschu, sang.

Leona Kleiber and Adeline Bernhardt attended the funeral of their cousin, Edna Domke, on Wednesday. Later they visited Milda Krauter at Marion Manor.

Reuben and Lucille Kerbs went to Abilene April 6 to watch the Abilene High School women's softball team play two games with Concordia. Doug and Connie Thompson and Taylor also were present. Allison Phillips played.

Lynn Kleiber, Amanda, Andrea, and Nicholas visited this past week with Leona Kleiber.

Don and Carolyn Srajer of Omaha, Neb., were Palm Sunday weekend guests of Tillie Hein. All were Saturday supper guests of Jim and Kris Srajer, Grant and Cole. They were en route home from Arizona where they had spent two months. On Saturday afternoon, Don, Carolyn, Tillie, and Cole visited Leon Hajek at the Hillsboro Community Medical Center's long-term care unit in Hillsboro.
