Leona Kleiber is the proud great-grandmother of Tanner Eugene Stuchlik, born Sunday at St. Joseph hospital to Daniel and Melissa Stuchlik of Wichita. Grandparents are Terry and Cindy Vinduska and Monty and Sarah Stuchlik. Other great-grandmothers are Frances Stuchlik and Ruby Vinduska. Congratulations to all.
Julie and Rustyn Kerbs visited after church Sunday morning with Reuben and Lucille Kerbs. Ashton Kerbs and Jesse Smith of Salina and Russ Kerbs and Rustyn were afternoon visitors.
Jane Vajnar joined a group Sunday afternoon from Durham Baptist Church to tour Rolling Hills Zoo near Salina. On the way home she visited Peggy and Jim Collins in Salina.
Georgia Spohn met Orlin and Norma Wagner of Wichita Saturday at Kingfisher's Inn near Marion for dinner out.
A large crowd attended Jane Vajnar's auction Saturday. She was very pleased with the results of the sale.
Tony Young of Goessel visited Saturday with Lois Sklenar and Valerie Hampton.
Lucille Kerbs went to Abilene Saturday. After doing errands, she and Connie Thompson and Taylor had lunch together. Later, they joined Doug Thompson and Allison Phillips at home to watch Allison and Brice Dawson leave for the prom. Edie Phillips and Brice's mother also were present to see them off.
Leona Kleiber and Adeline Bernhardt visited Milda Krauter Sunday afternoon at Marion Manor in Marion.
Delbert and Madeline Stuive of Salina and Jane Vajnar enjoyed supper out Saturday in Lost Springs after the auction. Other relatives and friends from out of the area who came to give Jane moral support included Jerry Vajnar of Newton, Jason and Kerry Vajnar and Owen of Meade, Sam Andrews and Jon Sneath of Carneiro, Ron and Twyla Brown of Wichita, and Jim Aderman of Topeka.
Mark and Monica Ingalls of Wichita visited Helen Costello Friday evening, and all enjoyed supper out at Lost Springs.
Leroy Schwartzman of Ballwin, Mo., arrived Thursday to spend a week with his mother, Helen Schwartzman.
Reuben and Lucille Kerbs attended the spring dance recital presented by the Bates Studios Friday evening at the Abilene High School auditorium. Their granddaughter, Taylor Thompson, performed. Other Taylor fan club members present were Doug and Connie Thompson and Allison. After the program, they all went out to eat.
A group of women enjoying dinner out Friday in Hillsboro included Agnes Steinert, Shirley Hamm, Lorene Kleiber, Dee Duggan, Leona Kleiber, Adeline Bernhardt, Eleanor Herbel, Bonnie Crandall, Helen Costello, and Tillie Hein.
Lenora Graham and Betty Ireland of Florence and Georgia Spohn enjoyed lunch out Thursday in Hillsboro after the Learning in Retirement program at Tabor College, where Marilyn Ensz displayed and talked about her large collection of cookie cutters.
Members of the St. John's Lutheran Women's Missionary League and Pastor Clark Davis went April 14 to the long-term care unit of Hillsboro Community Medical Center. Pastor Davis led a devotion. Women joining the residents in singing included Adeline Bernhardt, Leona Kleiber, Joyce Medley, Alma Meyer, Betty Mueller, Edna Mueller, and Agnes Steinert. Cookies and drinks were served to the residents. The ladies then went to McDonald's for treats, and Pastor Davis returned to Tampa to teach mid-week religion classes.
Georgia Spohn visited April 13 with Marguerite Goertz of Hillsboro.
