Tampa children enjoy Easter egg hunt

Thirty-six children enjoyed the Easter egg hunt in the park Saturday afternoon sponsored by the city of Tampa and Prairie Pals. Each child received a sack of candy and entered a drawing for special Easter baskets. Meghan David won the basket for the 0-2 age group. Among children's three- and four-year-old group, Kaylee Hall won the girl's basket and Christopher Rziha was the winner for the boys. In the age group for 5- to 7-year-olds prizes went to Karyn Leihy and Michael Rziha. Meghan Leihy and Timothy Stuchlik took home the prizes for the 8 to 10 age group.
Easter dinner guests of Terry and Cindy Vinduska were Ruby Vinduska, Leona Kleiber, Lynn and Peggy Kleiber, Amanda, Andrea, and Nicholas, Becky Routh, Allison, Melody, and Danielle of Augusta, Ron and Tammi Vinduska, Staci and Kristi of Topeka, Daniel and Melissa Stuchlik of Wichita, and Jill Vinduska of Manhattan. Adeline Bernhardt joined them for afternoon dessert. An Easter egg hunt was enjoyed in the afternoon.
Eleanor Murphy and Martha Melcher were Sunday evening visitors of Helen Schwartzman.
Hannah Riffel of Jessup, Iowa, paid a short visit to Paul and Edna Backhus Sunday evening.
Greg Sklenar of Wichita spent Easter with Lois Sklenar and Valerie Hampton.

John and Pat Schwartzman of Salina and Tom Murphy enjoyed Easter dinner with Helen Schwartzman.
Easter dinner guests of Phyllis Mueller were Don and Ophelia Jacobson and Greg Jacobson of Hope, Ron and Jody Heath, Danielle and Tyler of Salina, John and Wanda Lewis, Paul, Sarah, and Luke of Wichita, Tom and Bev Reid of rural Marion, Mike and Jennifer Jay of Hillsboro and their friends from Newton, Mildred Bernhardt of Lyons, Paul and Edna Backhus, Brad and Kathy Backhus, Jason Backhus, and Sara Houdyshell. There was an Easter egg hunt for the children in the afternoon.
Adeline Bernhardt visited Milda Krauter at Marion Manor in Marion the afternoon of April 16 and again Easter afternoon. On her way home, she joined relatives and friends at the home of Terry and Cindy Vinduska.

Reuben and Lucille Kerbs went to El Dorado Saturday to attend the wedding of Jolana Harms and Bradley Gooding at Prospect Baptist Church, followed by a reception at the city center. The groom is the grandson of Lucille's brother and sister-in-law, Virgil and Barbara Gooding of El Dorado. Jolana's father was the officiating minister, assisted by her two grandfathers. Also attending the ceremony were Elmer and Joyce Gooding of Tempe, Ariz., Don and Cecile Penney and Al Gooding of Topeka, and many other relatives and friends.
Jim and Kris Srajer, Grant and Cole spent Easter weekend in Omaha, Neb., where they visited their parents, Donald and Carolyn Srajer and Ted and Maxine Zielinski.
Wayne Schwartzman of Wichita visited his mother, Helen Schwartzman, on Saturday.
Lucille Kerbs visited Connie Thompson, Allison and Taylor in Abilene Saturday and wished them a happy Easter.
Paul and Edna Backhus visited Naomi Wendt Saturday afternoon at the Abilene hospital.
One of Tampa's Holy Family religion classes visited the Hillsboro Community Medical Center's long-term care unit and Parkside Homes in Hillsboro Friday accompanied by a large, yellow Easter bunny. They distributed spiritual bookmarks to the residents. Young people participating included Emett Blecha, Alex Jirgens, Nicholas Kleiber, Jacob Jirak, and Phillip Haslouer. Adult sponsors were Matt Jirgens and Monica Leihy.
Georgia Spohn accompanied Gary and Carole Spohn to the Maundy Thursday service at the Marion Christian Church.
Leona Kleiber visited Dean and Becky Routh and family at Augusta April 11 to 20. Becky, Melody, Allison, Danielle, and Leona attended the spring tea April 12 at the Andover church. That evening, Dean, Becky, and Leona enjoyed dinner and the production of "Annie, Get Your Gun" at the Crown Uptown Theatre in Wichita. The Routh family and Leona attended the Lily Lake 4-H Club meeting April 14. Allison gave a talk on her geology project. Leona, Becky, and daughters attended the ballet, "Peter and the Wolf," April 17 at Century II in Wichita.
The Tampa community may have a couple of budding artists. Meghan Leihy learned Saturday that she had won the prize for her age group in the coloring contest sponsored by Alco in Herington. Quentin Stuchlik took first for his age group in a coloring contest sponsored by the radio station, KJRL.
Georgia Spohn met her cousin, Lenora Graham of Florence, in Hillsboro Thursday morning. They attended Tabor's Learning in Retirement program and enjoyed dinner together. The speaker was Dale Warkentin of Fresno, Calif., who spoke about the Easter story from the perspectives of Christianity and Islam.
Frank Moffitt of Marion and Adeline Bernhardt were guests of Tom and Rhonda Moffitt of Taft, Calif., for dinner Thursday at the café.
Lenora Graham of Florence and Georgia Spohn met in Marion Wednesday for dinner.
The American Legion Auxiliary met April 14 at the Legion hall with Dee Duggan and Mary Ann Frantz as hostesses. Bonnie Funk won the door prize. Others present included Bonnie Crandall, Maxine Mueller, JoAnn Nowak, Margaret Vinduska, and Jane Vajnar.
Adeline Bernhardt spent from April 11 to 15 in Wellington with Carl and Kathy Hubbard and Clint. Kathy and Adeline went to Winfield Saturday to visit Evelyn Hensley, who recently moved there. The Hubbards and Adeline joined 20 other relatives on Sunday in attending the baptism of Gabrielle Janae Stout, daughter of Chris and De Stout, at Calvary Lutheran Church, followed by a dinner at the Steak House. Then all went to the Hubbard home for decorated baptism cake and drinks.
Rhonda Moffitt of Taft, Calif., visited Helen Schwartzman the afternoon of April 16.
Tillie Hein and Martha Melcher went April 14 to the Golden Eagle Casino on the Kickapoo Indian Reservation near Norton.
