The Tampa Community Association met Sept. 9 at the senior center. Principle topics discussed were plans for the Santa Fe Trail Fest, progress of the post office committee, and plans to obtain Tampa T-shirts. The SFT Fest will be held Oct. 12 starting at 3 p.m. at the ball field. Activities will include a wiener roast, hayrack ride, cake walk, cow chip toss, and other old-fashioned games. Most of the activities are free. Baked goods, cider, and popcorn will be sold in the concession stand as a benefit for Lisa Hanschu to help her with the expense of a bone marrow harvest, which is not covered by her insurance. Anyone wanting more information about the T-shirts should talk to Carole Spohn or Mary Ann Frantz.
