Tampa men win tournament
Tampa men's softball team won the Marion County Men's Softball League Tournament Sunday following a weekend of hot, sweaty softball.
The Tampa team dropped to the losers' bracket early in the tournament but jumped back into the winners' bracket, winning five games in a row to claim the championship.
Following a win over Hetts, Tampa defeated Peabody, then took on McDonald's of Hillsboro.
Tampa and McDonald's played twice Sunday evening, with Tampa coming out on top both times with scores of 30-9 and 34-20, respectively.
The league is made up of teams from Peabody, Florence, Cedar Point, burdick, Tampa, Hillsboro, Marion, Pilsen, and Lincolnville.
