Tampa: Spohns attend activities at Marion church

Georgia Spohn accompanied Gary and Carole Spohn to Sunday morning worship at the Christian church in Marion, followed by a Thanksgiving potluck dinner. In the afternoon, those attending heard a piano and organ concert by Lenore Mitchell and Donna Hayen.
Jerry and Jeanne Rziha are proud grandparents of Timothy John Rziha born Nov. 21 to John and Jeanne Rziha of Atchison, and Cecilia Marie Rziha, born Nov. 22 to Wayne and Shannon Rziha of Tulsa, Okla. Timothy is welcomed by three brothers, Michael, Christopher, and Joseph.
Evelyn Hensley visited Warren Vajnar at Legacy Park in Peabody Monday and had dinner with him.
Leona Kleiber and Adeline Bernhardt visited Milda Krauter Sunday afternoon at Marion Manor in Marion.
Tom Duggan went to Lee's Summit, Mo., Sunday to spend a few days with Darla Hall and Adam.
Rita Quinn of Winfield visited her mother Evelyn Hensley on Tuesday. Evelyn accompanied her back to Winfield to spend a week with Charles and Rita Quinn and Gary and Julie Utt.
Wayne and Marita Schwartzman are spending this week with his mother, Helen Schwartzman.
Several Tampa teens were in the cast of the musical, "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," performed at Centre High School Friday and Saturday evenings. Many parents, grandparents, and friends from here turned out to applaud. Tampa actors included Amanda Kleiber as Sally, Cecilia Rziha as Snoopy, Raschelle Jirak as Lucy, Kristin Mueller as Marcie, and Jackie Klenda as Patty. Andrea Kleiber was the stage manager, Dana Depo was on the stage crew, and Nathan Brunner was an usher. Your correspondent, as drama critic, thought they all had star quality.
Andrea Kleiber was a Saturday dinner guest of her grandmother, Leona Kleiber. Nicholas Kleiber was a Sunday supper guest.
Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki went to Wichita to see a movie Saturday with a group of young people from Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Herington.
Jim and Diane Herron and Andrew of Wichita were weekend guests of Jerry and Jeanne Rziha, Cecilia, Julie, and Dana. All attended the play at Centre Saturday evening.
Greg Sklenar and Lars Farmer of Wichita visited Lois Sklenar on Saturday.
Adeline Bernhardt, Betty Mueller, and Leona Kleiber attended the CHS drama club's production of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" Saturday evening. Leona's granddaughter Amanda Kleiber was in the cast and Andrea Kleiber was stage manager.
Anna Mae Stika, Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki, and Lisa Hanschu, James and Anna enjoyed supper in Salina Friday evening.
Ladies enjoying a holiday party at the café Friday evening were Agnes Steinert, Lorene Kleiber, Beryl Steiner, and Shirley Hamm of Hillsboro, Bonnie Crandall, Adeline Bernhardt, Leona Kleiber, Helen Costello, Tillie Hein, Eleanor Herbel, and Dee Duggan. Helen and Tillie acted as hostesses. The group drew names for their birthday gift exchange in 2003.
Kaylee Hall of Herington was a Friday overnight and Saturday guest of her grandparents, Tom and Dee Duggan.
Wilbert Backhus and Evelyn Hensley went to Topeka Thursday to help Warren Vajnar move to Legacy Park in Peabody. On the way, they visited Edna Vajnar at the Hillsboro Community Medical Center's long-term care unit.
Gary and Carole Spohn went to Crescent, Okla., Thursday afternoon and stayed through Friday. They attended the funeral of Gary's cousin, Steve Lindholm.
Leona Kleiber and Adeline Bernhardt enjoyed dinner in Salina Thursday.
Evelyn Hensley attended a potluck supper Nov. 19 for residents and their families at the Hillsboro Community Medical Center long-term care unit to share the meal with her sister, Edna Vajnar.
Leona Kleiber spent November 14-20 at Augusta with Dean and Becky Routh, Allison, Melody, and Danielle. She accompanied Becky and her daughters Friday evening to the "Fall Sampler" at the church in Andover. After-dinner entertainment featured Melody, Allison, and Danielle singing and playing their musical instruments. Door prizes were given. The Rouths and Leona went to Park Place Assembly in Wichita Saturday, where the girls competed in a Bible quiz. Becky and daughters and Leona met Pastor Leon and Sharon at the nursing home in Andover Sunday afternoon for a worship service. Pastor Leon brought the message and the Routh sisters entertained with singing and playing their instruments. This was followed by visiting and ice cream with the residents.
