Tampa: Women's group meets for election of officers

A good crowd turned out Saturday for the Prairie Pals hunters' luncheon at the senior center.
Jim E. and Mary J. Clemmer went to Salina Saturday to visit Jim B. and Mary G. Clemmer. Other visitors were Nyle and Kathi Sutton, Alex, Meaghan, and Kyle of Topeka. They also visited Don and Jo Clemmer and Stevie and Dale and Sandy Clemmer and Cassie.
Bill and Ruth Taylor of Shawnee and Edna Backhus enjoyed lunch Friday at the café.
A large crowd attended the funeral service for Heidi Dirks Friday morning at Morning Star Church. Her family has the deepest sympathy of the community.
Wayne and Joann Fowler of Emporia visited her sister and husband Mary and Jim Clemmer on Saturday. All attended the Prairie Pals soup dinner.
Adeline Bernhardt visited Milda Krauter at Marion Manor in Marion Nov. 5.
Lenora Graham of Florence and Georgia Spohn enjoyed lunch in Canton Nov. 6.
Lutheran Women's Missionary League met the evening of Nov. 6 at the church. Adeline Bernhardt gave opening and closing devotions and Pastor Clark Davis led the Bible study. New officers were elected for 2003. They are Kathy Davis, president; Joyce Medley, vice president; Leona Kleiber, secretary; and Evelyn Hensley, treasurer. Adeline was hostess.
Peggy Kleiber and Leona Kleiber enjoyed lunch in Manhattan Nov. 6.
Adeline Bernhardt and Barney Bernhardt went to Omaha, Neb., Nov. 3 to attend a reception in celebration of Clara Bernhardt's 90th birthday at Chili Greens Golf Club. Hosts for the occasion were the honoree's son and family Gary and Sally Bernhardt, Brooke and Brady and their spouses. Adeline was a Sunday overnight and Monday guest of Barney, Linda, and Megan of Wichita. Linda, Megan, and Adeline attended a performance of Spirits of the Dance Monday evening at Century II.
