Thelma Schlotthauer

Thelma Terry Lail (McDonald) Schlotthauer, 90, died Dec. 23, 2002, at Memphis, Tenn., after an extended illness.

She was the widow of Milton Schlotthauer. They were married April 4, 1954.

Services were held Dec. 28, 2002, at Zeiner Funeral Home with burial in Marion Cemetery.

She was the daughter of the late Thomas Tribune and Louvenia Jane (Roy) Lail, born Aug. 14, 1912, in Jackson County, Ark.

Following a year of study at Columbia Christian College, Columbia, Mo., she moved to Wichita and attended Daughn's Business School.

She then worked for the Wichita Eagle, later as an inspector on the line at Boeing, returning to the newspaper prior to retirement. Following retirement she worked with her husband on the farm at Marion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, four brothers, a nephew, a great-niece and three great-nephews.

Survivors include nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Casket bearers were Todd Krispense, Steve Glahn, Warren Dalke, Gary Helmer, Dwight Kruse, and Bruce Padgham. Pastor Jim Bridges officiated.
