Think about it
Isn't accountability something we expect in our everyday dealings with colleagues, businesses, and family?
Then why in the world don't we hold elected and appointed officials to the same degree of accountability?
If you're wondering why city and county departments are over budget, ask questions. If you're wondering why "they" spend so much of our money on seemingly unnecessary frivolities, ask questions. If you want to know why taxes are high — ask questions.
We can't expect those we've elected to represent our interests or read our minds. If you're unhappy with decisions they are making, let them know. Ask questions. That's your right and responsbility. Hold them accountable. That's their job.
