Tim Stevenson is new store manager at Deer Trail Implement

Tim Stevenson is the new store manager of Deer Trail Implement, Inc., in Marion. It's his job to oversee the day-to-day operations of the business.

Stevenson replaces Steve Wear, who now works as a salesman for the company.

Stevenson grew up at Waterville. He graduated in 1998 from Kansas State University with a degree in ag business.

His first position was with the grain cooperative in his home community. He returned to KSU and worked in the appraisal department helping to determine land use values.

During that time, he pursued a master's in ag economics, which he received in December 2002.

Prior to coming to Deer Trail, he was a salesman for Krause Plow Co., a tillage equipment manufacturer in Hutchinson.

He lives in Salina but has purchased a house in Marion and plans to move here soon.

At age 31, Stevenson is one of the youngest managers in the business.

"It's a big responsibility," he said. "I'm looking forward to being part of the community and to serving our customers the best possible way we can."
