Tina and Brendan Kraus
Tina Wood and Brendan Kraus were married July 27, 2002, at St. Francis Catholic Church, St. Paul. Father Daniel Vacca was the officiating clergyman. Lectors were groom's sisters, Melanie Dunn and Kristi Mercer.
The bride is the daughter of Gary and Donna Wood of St. Paul. Don and Vickie Kraus of Marion are parents of the groom.
Candlelighters were the bride's cousins, Keisha Grosdidier and Jamie VanLeeuwen.
Music was provided by Pauline Vitt and Jamie VanLeeuwen, cousins of the bride, and Karen Campbell.
The bride wore a white satin A-line tank dress. Embroidered sequins and caviar beading were featured on the bodice and banded skirt. She carried an arrangement of white roses, daisies, star gazer lilies, and calla lilies.
Tammi Wood attended her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Whitney Benson, and Janel Scales and her cousins Amber Noe and Kim Forwoodson. Carrie Herzet was the bride's personal attendant.
Ashton Wood, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Tristan Dunn, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.
Serving the groom as best man was his brother, Nick Kraus. Groomsmen were Lucas King, Jared Herzet, Aaron Reiswig, and Scott Stehlik.
Guests were seated by Ben Peterson, Corey Bertrand. the groom's brother Terry Wood, and the bride's cousin Jeremy VanLeeuwen,
Programs were distributed by Katie and Kortney Grosdidier and Whitney and Natalie Noe, all cousins of the bride.
Wendy Asner, Stephanie Koop, Renee Reiswig, Wendy Winter, and Lynn Weidert, cousin of the bride, assisted at the cake and punch table.
The wedding colors were burgundy, navy, and silver.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of St. Paul High School and a 2001 graduate of Kansas State University with a degree in elementary and middle school education. She currently teaches sixth grade at Wellsville Middle School.
The groom is a 1995 graduate of Marion High School and a 2002 graduate of Kansas State University, completing his degree with a doctorate in veterinary medicine. He currently works as a large animal veterinarian at Town and Country Equine in Louisburg.
After the honeymoon to Jamaica, the couple resides at 27965 Beaver Creek Road in Louisburg.
Rehearsal dinner
The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's parents, was held July 26 at Osage Hills Country Club.
