Topeka church is setting for Phillips-Wood wedding
Rebecca Phillips and Jeffry Wood were married Oct. 28, 2006, at First United Methodist Church, Topeka.
The Rev. Mike Chamberlain officiated at the late afternoon ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Chris and Connie Phillips of Emporia. She is the granddaughter of the late Lloyd and Pat Doile and the late Lester and Ruby Phillips.
The groom is the son of Mike and Marian Wood of Emporia. Grandparents are Dorothy Lawrence and Earl and Louise Wood, all of Marion, and the late Earl Lawrence.
Sarah Mitchell was the maid of honor. Other attendants were Renee Rodriguez, Lana Benoit, and Amy Monaco.
Shelly Edwards was the bride's personal attendant.
Kate Dreiling was the flower girl. Jake Dreiling was the ring bearer.
Jamie Pasquith served as best man. Groomsmen were Dave Resch, Randy Robertson, and Justin Cobbs.
Guests were seated by Curtis Doile and Blake Jones.
Alex Rodriguez was the program attendant. Stephanie Carroll was in charge of gifts and the guest book.
Following the ceremony, the wedding party was taken by trolley to the reception, which was held at the Topeka Ramada Inn.
Reception assistants were Alison Cipra and Darcy Garriott.
Paul Moore was the wedding musician.
The bride is a graduate of Emporia High School, Emporia State University with a bachelor's degree in rehabilitation counseling, and Washburn University with a master's degree in criminal justice. She is employed as a care manager and intake specialist with TFI Family Services, Topeka.
Her husband is a graduate of Emporia State University, Butler Community College, and Pittsburg State University with a degree in psychology. He is employed by Jayhawk Beverage in Topeka.
The couple lives in Topeka.
