Traditional family Christmas on tap at Lundy residence

A towering Christmas tree adorned with multicolored lights and traditional ornaments will be the focal point of the Bill and Mickey Lundy home during Marion's annual Christmas Tour of Homes Nov. 28.

The 10-foot high ceiling in the home's living room makes it the perfect location each year for the huge live tree.

The Lundys will decorate their home using a traditional theme "family Christmas" theme, Mickey said.

"We plan on using some of our family ornaments that we've made or collected," she said.

The Lundys also plan on using some "Victorian-style" decorations when embellishing their 1887 home for the holidays.

"We'll have another tree set up in a corner near the fireplace that we'll decorate using pink-colored lights and Victorian decorations," Mickey explained.

Blessed with the fine woodwork of a nearly 100-year-old home, the Lundys plan to show off its best features using Christmas ornamentation.

"We'll be decorating the staircase with lights and greenery and the hearth will be all decorated," she said.
