Turkey supper, bazaar offered by Burdick Methodists

Burdick United Methodist women will have their annual turkey supper beginning at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. There also will be a bazaar table.
Senior citizens will meet at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Earl and Marcella Hermstein of White City will present a program of their trip from July 28 to Aug. 15 to Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Helsinki Finland, and Russia. The program is co-sponsored by the Women's Educational Club of Burdick. Following the program will be a lunch. Everyone is invited.
Eldon and Isla Rose Nelson went to the Kansas State Fair at Hutchinson Tuesday and attended the Farm bureau convention there, receiving a Century Farm Award.
Word has been received of the death of Rose Sandberg of Greeley, Colo. She was a former resident of Burdick.
Guy and Leola Wilkerson of Bentonville, Ark., and Myrtle Peterson were Friday evening supper guests of Joyce and Ruth Ann Carlson.
Irvin and Audine Strand and Oliver Peterson visited with Eldon and Isla Rose Nelson Sept. 9 to help Eldon celebrate his birthday.
Earl and Ruth Schump of Herington were Tuesday evening guests of Earl and Evelyn Forsberg.
Oliver Peterson entertained Sunday with a dinner at Kingfisher's Inn in Marion for Eldon and Isla Rose Nelson, Earl and Lois Peterson, Roger Peterson, Rolland Peterson, Steve and Donna Hanneman of Peabody, and Betty Hanneman of Hillsboro. They were celebrating Donna's and Eldon's birthdays. Later, some went to the Wichita Zoo.

Wade and Morgan Rickenbrode of Council Grove were Friday evening supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Forsberg. Wade was an overnight guest.

Allen and Connie Thomas of Council Grove were evening visitors to help Morgan celebrate.
