Vehicle accident kills Peabody teen

A Peabody teen died Sunday evening and her sister was seriously injured following a one-vehicle rollover near Peabody.

Kylie Terronez, 15, of Peabody was killed when she was a passenger in a vehicle driven by her sister, Clarissa Renee Terronez, 17.

The two were traveling eastbound on 90th Road near Jade in a 2003 GMC Envoy at 10:28 p.m. May 18, when the vehicle drifted into a north ditch, striking a culvert and overturning, coming to rest on its wheels. According to Marion County Sheriff Lee Becker, both teens were wearing seat belts but the passenger-side belt failed, causing the 15-year-old to be ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was transported by LifeTeam to Wesley Medical Center where she is expected to recover.

The vehicle was registered to Roxanne Dallke-Wallace of Peabody.

A memorial fund has been established at Peabody State Bank to help the family pay for funeral expenses.
