Velma Hartmann
Velma Hartmann, 82, of Herington, died July 16, 2004, at Herington Municipal Hospital.
Born Oct. 7, 1921, at Clay Center, she was the daughter of Ora and Ida May (Yeaney) Mitchell. She was a homemaker and member of First Presbyterian Church, Herington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Christian "Zip" Hartmann in 1989; two sons, Dr. Warren Hartmann and Dr. Thomas Hartmann; and three brothers, Warren Mitchell, Donald Mitchell, and Ralph Mitchell.
Survivors include a sister, Myrtle Brabec of Barneston, Neb.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Victor Force officiating. Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established with the church.
