Virginia Catlin
Virginia B. Catlin, 75, died May 29, 2003, at Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka.
Born Jan. 1, 1928, at Woodward, Okla., she was the daughter of Allie and Mattie (May) Fishburn.
She lived in Wichita for a good part of her adult life. She taught school and was a volunteer helping others learn to read. She also operated a tavern for several years.
Survivors include two sons, Dan of Florence and Eric of Georgia; two daughters, Sharon (Shar) Cox of Topeka and Linda Aggson of Anthony; two brothers; a sister; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion, with her son, Dan Catlin, officiating. Shirley Bowers was pianist. Burial followed at Marion Cemetery.
Memorial funds have been established with Messiah's Branch Homeless Mission, Wichita.
