Virginia Nuss
Virginia Mae Nuss, 79, died Sept. 23, 2004, at Newton.
Born May 25, 1925, at Hillsboro, she was the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Funk) Jost.
On June 12, 1949, she married Allen Nuss at Hillsboro.
She was a registered nurse and member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hillsboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, James.
Survivors include her husband, Allen of rural Newton; two sons, Warren Nuss and Myron Nuss, rural Newton; two daughters, Nadine Roth of Kansas City and Karen Cwirla of Hacienda Heights, Calif.; three brothers, Paul Jost of Lenora, Idaho, Robert Jost of St. Johns, and Karl Jost of Hillsboro; four sisters, Jennie Duerksen and Lorraine Jurscich, both of Reedley, Calif., Wanda Enns of LaJunta, Colo., and Katherine Sommerfeld of Smolan; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, Hillsboro, with the Rev. William Cwirla officiating.
Burial was in Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorial funds have been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or The Lutheran Hour.
