Marion High School Warriors have made the transition from football to basketball and wrestling season. As the weather gets cold, the Warriors stay hot!

A winter sports extravaganza was held Monday and featured all the winter sports, including girls' and boys' basketball teams, the wrestling team, and the cheer squad, whose skits and cheers added spice to the evening. It was a good start for the new season.

"My team is very coachable," said the Rex Ostmeyer, coach of the basketball team. "They are willing to work hard and get things done.

"We will win our first duel," said Chad Adkins, wrestling team coach. "This has been the best week and a half of practice that I have ever coached."

Captains Steven Boone, Thad Looper, Zac Ewert, and Evan Sharp have great hopes for the wrestling team.

The crowd was enthusiastic and excited about the upcoming events. "The fact that all the kids were out there working hard with a positive attitude makes this scrimmage productive," said Carol Vogel, "The talent looks promising in all events."
