Wayne Shiplet
Wayne E. Shiplet, 66, the father of David Shiplet and Kathy Noriega of Marion, died Saturday.
A minister of music at Newton's First Christian Church, he was retired from Boeing and AT&T as well as a Wal-Mart associate.
He died Saturday. Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church with burial in Nardin, Okla.
He held a bachelor's degree from Rollins College, Orlando, Fla., and an MBA from Wichita State University.
He was a member of Friends University Orchestra, the Wichita Symphony Chorus, and Senseney Community band.
Survivors also include his wife, Merlene, of the home.
