Webster's upends Hillsboro for CVL title
After defeating Carlson's IGA and Hillsboro, the Marion 10-and-under girls team, sponored by Webster Auto, met up with Hillsboro again July 15 at Marion in the league championship game, and Marion didn't disappoint, defeating Hillsboro 9-8 to close out their season with the Cottonwood Valley League championship.
Members of the team are: first baseman Rachel Thurston, third baseman Raelene Allen, pitcher Alexis Cain, catcher Donna Cady, shortstop Chassidy Carlson, right fielder Olivia Dicks, second baseman Jordan Harper, center fielders Kayla Williams and Tori Marler, and left fielders Melissa Carlson and Danae Edwards.
