WEDDINGS: Marci and Aaron Finck

Marci Bessel and Aaron Finck, both of Orlando, Fla., were married Sept. 29, 2001, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Salina. The Rev. Christi Peterson officiated at the 4:30 p.m. double ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Jerry and Barbara Bessel of Assaria and Elmer and LaVonne Finck of Hays. Grandparents are George and Carol Helmer of Newton and Glenn and Monica Finck of Mandan, N.D.

Instrumental music for the ceremony was provided by Royce Young of Salina, organist; Lonny Schropp of Salina, trumpeter; and RoJean Loucks, Salina, harpist. Soloists were Pat Goble of Salina and Brigit Johnson of Kansas City.

Candles were lighted by DJ Gore of Florence, cousin of the bride, and Halie Kraklow of Eau Clair, Wis., cousin of the groom.

The bride wore a Mori Lee gown featuring a full chapel train. The gown's bodice was embroidered with Schiffli lace and fashioned with a halter neckline, crisscross straps in the back, and a basque waistline. The full skirt was trimmed with beaded Schiffli appliques. Her two tiered veil, trimmed with scattered pearls and sequins, was held in place by a jeweled tiara. She carried an arm bouquet of white Calla lilies.

The bride's personal attendant was her aunt, Georgie Vogel of Marion.

Wendy Holtz of Assaria attended her sister as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Shelly Mann of Hays, Shannon McVey of Garden City, and Suzan Murrison of Manhattan. They wore halter-top, full-length grape Mori Lee dresses with matching grape shoes and carried arm bouquets of white Calla lilies.

John Leonard of Junction City served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were the bride's brother-in-law Jo Holtz of Assaria, the groom's brother Eric Finck of Topeka, and Jerry Shugart of Columbus, Ga. The groom was attired in a Perry Ellis long-tailed black tuxedo with white vest. His attendants wore black Perry Ellis tuxedos with grape vests.

Guests were seated by Steven McVey of Garden City, Aaron Nies of Winter Park, Fla., and the groom's godfather Brian Witzeling of Wausau, Wis. They also wore black tuxedos with grape vests.

The guest book attendant was Lynna Hoeffner of Wichita.

A buffet dinner, reception, and dance were held at the VFW in Salina following the ceremony.

Helping with the wedding and with the reception were Kendra Nicely, Ridgeway McDonald, and Jamie McDonald of Wichita, Darla Gore of Florence, Kath Finck of Topeka, Vicki Myers, Lois James, and Marvin and Karen Mann of Assaria, Les and Rita Bergstrom of Cape Coral, Fla., and Mary Lou Schneider and Jeannette Butler of Salina.

A dinner was hosted by the Bessel family on the day following the wedding. Guests were members of the wedding party and family and friends from out of town.

The couple honeymooned in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., on the return trip to their home in Florida.
