What you always wanted

The headline above is a statement, not a question. We have just what you've always wanted. It's too big for a watch fob, but it's an item which would attract attention.

How'd you like to have a genuine antique paper cutter, the kind that can trim big stacks of paper? It also might be used as a press, or clamp, or whatever your mind imagined.

Years ago every newspaper office had a paper cutter, with long handle for leverage. They were/are heavy iron, ornately trimmed, and absolutely necessary around a print shop.

The one at the Hillsboro Star-Journal is no longer needed, for all the commercial printing is done at Marion where a hydraulic cutter is located.

You also might be in need of a complete darkroom — enlarger, sinks and all. Since digital photography retired film at the newspapers, the darkrooms are no longer used. The one at Marion was sold, complete, and that space used for another office. The one at Hillsboro still stands, unused, with all equipment intact. The same is true for cameras, the business has an assortment of high quality film cameras that draw dust.

Newspaper advertising is effective. Maybe people will step forward for a good deal on a paper cutter, darkroom, or cameras.

If that works, we have some farmer friends who might want to get rid of a gleaming and ornate DeLaval separator.
