Where do I vote?

On Tuesday, April 1, Marion County voters will go to the polls to cast ballots in various school and city elections.

However, sometimes figuring out where to cast your ballot is one of the hardest decisions Marion County residents and some residents in neighboring counties have to make on Election Day.

"Our school districts don't follow true township lines," explained Marion County Election Officer Carol Maggard. "That makes it difficult sometimes for people to know where to vote."

Attached is a map which shows the Marion County boundaries of the five county school districts. Please note that except for the Burdick area of Morris County, school district boundaries which extend outside Marion County are not on the map. However, they are listed below. The letters correspond to the poll sites listed below:

Centre USD 397

A — Tampa Legion Hall: Area includes Tampa city, part of Blaine and Durham Park townships.

B — Ramona Senior Center: Area includes Ramona city and Colfax Township, and part of Hope Township in Dickinson County.

C — Centre Elementary School: Area includes Lost Springs city and township, and part of Lyon Township in Dickinson County.

D — Burdick Legion Hall: Area includes Burdick city and township, part of Diamond Valley and Grandview townships, all in Morris County.

(Note: There is no letter E)

F — Lincolnville Community Building: Area includes Lincolnville city, part of Centre, Clark, Clear Creek and Grant townships, and part of Diamond Creek Township in Chase County.

Marion-Florence USD 408

— — Emmanuel Baptist Church: Area includes City of Marion north of K-256 (Main Street), and part of Clark, Clear Creek, Gale, and Wilson townships.

H — Our Savior Lutheran Church: Area includes City of Marion south of K-256 (Main Street), and part of Centre and Grant townships and part of Cottonwood Township in Chase County.

I — Florentine Senior Center: Area includes all of Florence city, Doyle Township, and part of Catlin, Fairplay, Grant, and Milton townships.

Hillsboro USD 410

J — Durham Park Township Hall: Area includes Durham city, Logan and Moore townships, and part of Blaine, Clark, and Durham Park townships.

K — Lehigh City Building: Area includes Lehigh city and most of Lehigh Township.

L — Wohlgemuth Music building — Tabor College: Area includes Hillsboro city 2nd (east) ward and parts of East Branch, Gale, Liberty, Menno, and Wilson townships.

M — Hillsboro City Building: Area includes Hillsboro city 1st (west) ward and Risley Township.

(Note: There is no letter N)

Goessel USD 411

O — Goessel Agape Senior Center: Area includes Goessel city, part of East Branch, Lehigh, Liberty, Menno, and West Branch townships, part of Spring Valley and Meridian townships in McPherson County.

P — Peabody Senior Center: Area includes all Peabody city and most of Peabody township, all of Catlin city and township, part of East Branch and Fairplay townships, and part of Walton township in Harvey County.

Q — Burns City Building: Area includes all of Burns city, Summit and most of Milton townships, and part of Cedar Township in Chase County.
