Wildcats defeat Halstead
Despite a sluggish start, Marion Middle School Wildcats defeated Halstead Monday night with a score of 42-27.
The Wildcats showed the effects of a long Thanksgiving break with some sluggish play in the first half, going to the locker room with a score of 20-14 at the break.
They came back in the third quarter and played a solid defense added to tough rebounding.
Austin Hager was the high scorer with 18 points. Adam Trapp added seven.
In the B-team game, the Wildcats lagged behind Halstead, getting walloped with a score of 47-20.
