William Allen White to speak in Marion on Kansas Day
The public is invited to celebrate Kansas Day, Jan. 29, with proud Kansans at McGillicuddy's in Marion.
There will be a Kansas roast beef dinner at 1 p.m. followed by William Allen White, in person, or as reenacted by Frederick Krebs.
Krebs is a professor in the Social Science and Humanities Division of Johnson County Community College. His appearance in Marion is part of the Kansas Humanities Council History Alive! Program.
Reservations may be made by Jan. 22 to Janet Bryant, 382-3418. Tickets are $10 including the meal.
Newspaper editor Bill Meyer will introduce the legendary William Allen White.
