Wilma Cloutier
Wilma H. Cloutier, 80, Hillsboro, died April 7, 2003, at St. Luke Hospital in Marion.
She was born July 26, 1922, in Kansas City, Mo., daughter of Fred and Helen (Morris) Stewart.
She spent her younger years in the Topeka area and graduated from Topeka High School. She worked at Forbes Air Force Base where she met her husband. On Nov. 2, 1945, she married Marland J. Cloutier at Topeka. Two sons were born, Brett and James. They moved to rural Lincolnville in 1976, where she assisted her husband in Shawmar Oil & Gas Company and continued to help her son, Jim, upon her husband's death in 1996. She also moved to Hillsboro in 1996. Wilma enjoyed reading, knitting, and church activities. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Holy Family Parish, Pilsen.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Brett and Glendia of Clearmont, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, James and Nancy of Hillsboro; brother, Fred Stewart of Lakewood, Colo.
Her husband, Marland, died Jan. 25, 1996.
The rosary was recited Thursday at Zeiner Funeral Home, led by Fr. Gronert.
The Mass of the Resurrection was Friday morning at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Holy Family Parish, Pilsen. The celebrant was Fr. Steve Gronert, lector was John Reznicek, and the church choir was accompanied by Charlene Svitak on the organ.
Casket bearers were Beau and Braeden Cloutier, Jerry Minihan, Larry McLain, Robert Kristek, and Craig Settle.
Interment was at Marion Cemetery.
Memorial funds have been established with the Pilsen Community Center and St. John Nepomucene Church.
