Woody Wilson
Woodrow H. "Woody" Wilson, 92, of Potwin, died Aug. 11, 2005, at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital, El Dorado.
Born Aug. 17, 1912, at Choteau, Okla., he was the son of Fred and Laura (McFadden) Wilson.
He lived in Potwin most of his life and graduated from Potwin High School in 1930, then attended El Dorado Junior College.
On March 28, 1937, he married Delma Clark. She died in 1993. On Oct. 14, 1996, he married Dorothy Sidener Snelling.
He worked for Vickers Refinery for 27 years and owned and operated Dode and Woody's Grocery in Potwin for 37 years.
He was a member of Potwin United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two stepsons and wives, Richard and Donna Snelling of El Dorado and Dale and Loretta Snelling of Marion; a brother, Wallace Wilson of Rogers, Ark.; sister-in-law, Pauline Wilson of El Dorado; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchilden; and special family members, Don and Carol Vogelman and their sons and families.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at Potwin United Methodist Church.
Burial was in Walnut Valley Memorial Park, El Dorado.
Memorial funds have been established with the church or Children's Miracle Network.
