Worship services at Burdick change times for winter months

Worship services at the Burdick United Methodist Church will be changed to 10:45 a.m. Oct. 27 for the winter months. Fellowship time will be at 10:30 a.m. and Sunday school will start at 9:30 a.m.

American Legion Auxiliary is planning to have pancakes, sausage, and eggs the first two Saturdays of November (2nd and 9th), in the morning until 1 p.m.

Danny and Tina Crabtree, Elizabeth and Jordan of Wagoner, Okla., were weekend guests of Earl and Evelyn Forsberg. Others visiting were Mr. and Mrs. Dean Forsberg, Joe, Savannah, and Ethan and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Rickenbrode, Wade and Morgan of Council Grove.

Darrell and Carol Dutton of Manhattan came on Sunday and entertained Gary and Marilyn Hageberg, celebrating Marilyn's birthday.

Darrel and Candice Deneault of Salina spent from Saturday afternoon until Sunday afternoon with Neva Peterson.

Karin Nelson and Linnea Nelson visited with Ruth Anderson on Sunday at Salina.

Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America gathered Oct. 18 to 20 for the Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas Central State Joint 2002 Synodical Convention in Tulsa, Okla. Attending from the St. Paul Lutheran Church were delegate Marie Anderson of Burdick, Jill Granzow and Mary Schlesener of Herington, and Joyce Loe of Hope.

Sunday noon dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Peterson were Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Burton of Hope.

Callers of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Peterson during the past week were Irvin Strand, Burdette and Maureen Peterson, and Lisa Beye and Chelsea of Herington.

Marie Anderson visited with Dr. Robert and Barbara Anderson of Tulsa, Okla., while attending the synodical convention.

Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Peterson Oct. 21 were Jack and Una Adams and Canzada Burns of Council Grove, Jackie Adams of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Burns of Huntsville, Ala.
