Weekend guests of Jackie Hett were Melissa and Tim O'Sullivan and Maddie of Tulsa, Barb and Bill O'Sullivan, Lindsey and Julie Porter of Wichita, and Melinda Helmer of Andover.
Jackie Hett attended a concert Sunday evening of a singing group from Pratt Community College called "Encore" that was held at Aulne United Methodist Church. The program featured Tyler Miesse.
Roy Hett came home Friday from Marion Manor where he was recuperating from a fall. He is improving each day.
Virginia Downing and John Hayen took Dorothy to Florence Sunday noon for dinner. She loved being back where they always had Sunday dinner. Virginia became a first-time great-grandmother on Feb. 25. Jackie Magee is the grandmother and the baby is Ashley Magee, weighing 6 pounds 11 ounces and was 18 inches long. Of course that makes Dorothy Hayen a great-great-grandmother again.
Vicki Smolik attended the funeral services Tuesday for Gary Steiner at the Pilsen church.
Shirley and David Bowers and Leonard and Rosalie Klassen attended the soil conservation meeting Saturday evening in Hillsboro. Shirley and David attended the birthday party luncheon Sunday noon at Eastmoor church served by the young people. Shirley and David went to the community sing-along Sunday evening at Marion Baptist church.
Emily Johnson spent the weekend with me and we ate Sunday dinner together at Kingfisher's Inn.
Phyllis and Gene Dettmer of Kansas City came Sunday to visit Charles Kjellin at St. Luke Hospital. Greg and Mary Beth Bowers and Pat Enos joined them for an afternoon of visiting. Greg was master of ceremonies at a Gideons banquet Saturday night in Salina.
Leonard and Rosalie Klassen had dinner Sunday at Eastmoor church, sponsored by the youth. Leonard sang a solo Sunday night at the community sing-along at Marion Baptist church.
