Skip and Eileen Sieger have returned from Champaign, Ill., where they visited this past week with Chris and Lesley Allen. While in Illinois they toured the home of Abraham Lincoln in Springfield and the Capitol building.

Mary Beth Bowers did a wildflower program for the residence of the Cedars in McPherson. She was contacted by Bonnie and Dave Fruith, a high school counselor when Mary Beth was in school in Marion. Lester and Ruth Ann Griffith are living at the Cedars and he was a former county extension agent in Marion.

Greg Bowers spent Friday and Saturday in Lawrence at the Gideon State Convention. Steven Bowers accompanied Nona Parli, Jenna and Emma to Colorado for a few days of skiing during spring break. Jordan Bowers, son of Brian Bowers spent Monday night with Luke Bowers. Rhonny Bowers was in Andover last week visiting Debi and Rick Lowe and family.

Leonard and Rosalie Klassen moved to Marion Thursday where they will live while their new home is being built. Cora stopped on Friday and had dinner with Leonard and Rosalie and helped Rosalie unpack for a few hours before driving home. Cora had been at the University of Kansas Medical Center Tuesday with Kami and Eric VanCampon while three-month-old Parker underwent a nine-hour surgery on his leg. Parker is improving. Leonard and Rosalie ate potluck dinner Sunday noon at Eastmoor church and attend the concert that followed.

John Hayen took Dorothy Hayen Sunday to Florence. Visitors during the week at Dorothy's room at St. Luke Living Center were Marilyn Geis, Virginia Downing, and Max and Donna Hayen.

Spring break visitors at the David Bowers home were Brian and Shelinda Bowers, Jordan and Paige and Betsy and Joshua Bunnel. David and Shirley Bowers attended the Come Join Us Sunday school class party Wednesday at the Pizza Hut and then returned to the church for dessert and fellowship. Shirley went Saturday afternoon to the burial services of Ada Gilbert. The Gilberts served the Marion and Youngtown churches for 18 years and are remembered by many people. David and Shirley attended the luncheon and concert Sunday noon at Eastmoor.

Margie and Ken Nienstedt helped Leonard and Rosalie Klassen Thursday move to town. Ken and Margie both took a defensive driving course on Friday. Ken thinks this is a helpful class and everybody should attend one.

Charles and Rosaline Stinchcomb drove to Mentor Sunday to visit Susie and Dick Mueller. Charlie and Barb Stinchcomb from Russell joined them for a day of visiting.

Greg and Rose Davidson, Sarah and Rachel drove to Notre Dame University this week and checked out the school. Sarah Davidson will be going to school there next year. Sarah and Rachel attended the CYO convention Saturday and Sarah was among other Catholic youth who received the Light of Christ award.

Beth and Howard Collett have returned from Spring Hill, Fla., where they attended the funeral service of Beth's sister, Ruth Spinden Ferro. Recent visitors of Beth and Howard were Collette Erickson of Chapman, Chris and Carrie Parazin of Overland Park, Dave and Diane Argo of No Name, Colo., Don Argo of El Dorado, Leon Hayen of Topeka, Nan and Doug Hammond of Augusta, and Leonard Klassen.

Beth Howard, and Lucy and Kitty Collett attended the El Dorado community concert Friday evening featuring the Vega String Quartet.
