Vicki Smolik and Kathy Swan attended a bridal shower Saturday afternoon at a tea room in Canton. They were joined later by Paul Swan at the wedding supper and reception of Mike and Tina Waner at the VFW building in McPherson.
David and Shirley Bowers visited Cy Goertz at St. Luke Hospital Sunday afternoon and Dorothy Hayen at St. Luke Living Center.
Howard and Beth Collett met Bob and Pauline Edmunds for supper Friday night at Kingfisher's Inn. The Colletts attended the Tampa State Bank hog roast Saturday evening.
Eileen Sieger left Wednesday for California with several high school classmates. They are staying with Karen Enns. Eight girls get together every other year to catch up and always have a great time. She will return home later this week.
Jeannine Bateman and Frances Smalley went to a reception Friday for Nancy Weeks in Sublette. She is the new treasurer of the National Association of County Treasurers and finance officer. Jim Smalley went along as the driver for Jeannine and Frances so they could just sit back and enjoy the trip. Kristine Bateman was home this weekend, she came to pick up her dog. Jeannine had been dog sitting.
Ray and Rita Kraus attended the funeral of Ray's aunt, Irene Weber, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church Monday morning at Schulte. They visited Ray's brother, Leo Kraus, Thursday in Wichita at the Heart Hospital. Leo had quadruple bypass surgery and is doing well.
Jo Gearheart spent Tuesday night with me. She took me to Wichita and then I returned home Friday morning with Marj Johnson. Marj and Emily Johnson came again Sunday to help with yard work and just relax.
Rose Olive Hett and Shirley and David Bowers ate dinner Sunday at Eastmoor. The dinner was served as a benefit by women who are attending the Women of Faith conference in November.
Vickie Fisher came Friday and the rest of the family came Saturday to help the Klassens move to their new home at 1418 Denver. Vernon and Rachel Friesen visited Leonard and Rosalie Sunday evening in their new home.
