Youngtown: Davidson hosts Friday night slumber party

Rachel Davidson hosted a slumber party Friday night at her home. Those attending were Katie Whitaker, Ranell Schroeder, Lena O'Connor, Hilary Regalado, and Krista Stafford. Christine Schwartz and Rose and Greg Davidson, Sarah and Rachel attended the Happy Hustlers fall get-together Sunday evening.
Sunday visitors of Marie Navrat were Shelly Ratzloff, Ashley, Amber, and Samantha. Marie attended Harvest House in Pilsen Friday evening. She joined the Hilltop Manor group at dinner in Burns Friday night.
Roy and Rose Olive Hett went to the memorial service for Rodney Richmond on Friday. Rose Olive, Alvina Hoffman, Shirley Bowers, and Margaret Ireland attended Eastmoor UMW Wednesday afternoon.
Dorothy and John Hayen went to the Collett family reunion Sunday afternoon at the Marion County Lake hall. Other family members reporting they attended were Shirley and David Bowers, Virginia Downing, Marilyn Geis, and Howard and Beth Collett. Dorothy reported a killing frost two nights over the weekend.
Leonard and Rosalie Klassen spent the weekend in Wichita visiting Vickie and Marv Fisher and family. Rosalie and Vickie attended a "ladies night out" concert Friday night at the Coliseum to hear Chanda Pierce. The Klassens attended church with the Fishers on Sunday and got to hear Ashley sing a solo with accompaniment by her mother. They took the Fisher family to dinner Sunday to celebrate the Fishers' 27th wedding anniversary.
Kristine Bateman came home this weekend to help her mother bring in plants and get the place ready for winter. Several people reported frozen flowers and vegetables in gardens over the weekend.
David and Shirley Bowers and Jackie Hett attend part of the Mission Weekend Saturday evening at the Aulne United Methodist Church and enjoyed a Nepali meal cooked by Doug and Janelle Paden and the Aulne women. They sat on the floor to eat (if they were under 80) and everyone ate without silverware, just like they do in Nepal.
L.Dena Goertz has been busy all week getting the finishing touches put together for the upcoming bazaar this Saturday. Shirley Bowers and Evelyn Jewett helped finish quilting the quilt that is being raffled for Hilltop funds.
Bud McLinden is in the Hillsboro hospital with pneumonia. He hopes to get to come home later this week.
Chuck and Lori McLinden hosted a joint birthday party this week for Lauren and Jarret. Special guests were Richard and Patty McLinden, Roseva McLinden, and Susan and Jim Dalke of Hillsboro.
